RELEASE NOTES

Changelog

Every meaningful change to Loovie, newest first. Update in the App Store to get the latest.

v1.76
LATEST

A round of improvements and bug fixes while we get ready for something big.

v1.75

Four takes from one generation

Review Generate now lets you ask for up to four takes of the same prompt in one go, and where one take charges you for one, four takes only charge you for three, so the fourth one is on the house.

A new Basic tier for single-shot video

the cheapest single-shot option Loovie has, sitting just under Standard in the quality picker, so blocking out an idea costs you the least and you keep the balance for the take you care about.

Standard got better, and it learned your cast

Standard moved onto a stronger video engine, and it takes @mentions for the first time, so your characters and reference images come along for the ride and the face in the shot is the one you cast, on every tier except Basic and BYO.

Durations that fit the shot

High now comes in a short mini version and a full length one, Ultra reaches further than it did, and Standard covers a wide 2 to 30 second range.

Sharper High and Ultra images

both tiers moved onto a better image engine, with noticeably crisper fine detail that shows up most at higher resolutions.

Claim a Founding 50 seat on the spot

the waitlist step is gone, so if a seat is still going you claim it right there, with no form to join and no waiting to hear back.

Referrals that actually pay out

type or paste a friend's invite code, or open their share link, before you even have an account, and milestone rewards at your first, fifth and tenth invite now track and pay out the way they were always meant to.

Clear the whole prompt in one tap

a trash icon on the prompt composer wipes the lot instantly, with a brief Cleared, Undo offer straight after in case you were too quick.

The chat keyboard finally takes a hint

tapping anywhere in the conversation puts the keyboard away instead of making you hunt for the input field, across onboarding, story chat, the chat agent, chat with Leah and the AI director.

Plus a round of fixes

large canvas clips stop quietly losing their scene on export, scene durations stay put when you toggle multi-shot, bottom sheets behave the same way everywhere in the app, canvas remix results file into your stash where you can find them, and Leah and the AI agents stop going silent mid conversation.

v1.74

Your video plays the second it is ready

a finished video used to sit there invisible for two minutes or more, and sometimes never turned up at all until you restarted the app, and it now plays back the moment generation finishes.

Opacity on any clip, with keyframes

a new opacity slider on every clip, so you can fade a layer down until the one beneath it breathes through, or drop keyframes and let a shot dissolve across a few seconds.

Autosave that saves locally first

your edits are written to your device the instant you make them and synced after, so a dropped connection cannot block your edit or quietly lose the last thing you did.

Plus a round of fixes

reversing a clip now keeps its audio, transform keyframes, edge frames and picture-in-picture masks in sync, PiP overlays stop going blank while still letting you select them and the Layers panel shows real thumbnails for video overlays, mute actually silences a clip with volume holding for the clip's full length and music tracks fading out instead of being cut off, Separate Audio works again and hides itself on clips with no audio, exports render at the aspect ratio you are framing in rather than a stale stored one, still images keep their transform in landscape fullscreen, and touch targets grew on the picture-in-picture, opacity, caption, transition and cutout sliders.

v1.73

Character sheets and storyboard grids now cost 1 credit

both used to cost 2, nothing else about them changed, you simply get twice as many for the same balance.

Create a video straight from a character

tapping Create a Video on a character now slides up a compact sheet with Start and End Frames or Motion Reference, instead of throwing you out to the full creation screen to start again from scratch.

Character sheets that survive you leaving the screen

start one, wander off, come back, and it is still there, rather than an empty placeholder sitting where your sheet should have been while the job was still running or already finished.

Plus a round of fixes

Leah's name and avatar in chat are tappable and open her identity card with her own portrait, "Leah is unavailable right now" turns up far less often now she has more room to answer, uploads and downloads pick themselves back up after a dropped connection instead of throwing the whole thing away, and a reversed clip over 60 seconds keeps its sound in the editor preview instead of playing back silent.

v1.72

The freezing stops

the app could lock up on you while you scrubbed the timeline, set up picture-in-picture or pulled a frame out of a clip, and the heavy video and audio setup work has been moved off the path your taps take, so it keeps answering you while it works.

Sharper character sheets and storyboards

both come back noticeably crisper now, with cleaner faces and more detail holding up when you zoom in. Same buttons, better pictures.

A new composer for adding clips, with your own audio

and chat got a pass alongside it, so Leah's suggestion cards are far easier to read, Pass is now Next, you can swipe between her suggestions, and the composer on the home screen stopped growing until it had swallowed the screen.

Waiting screens that are honest about it

AI shot planning now holds you on a proper fullscreen loading screen instead of yanking you onto a different screen halfway through, and the image generation progress bar actually moves instead of parking at 23 percent then leaping straight to 100.

Plus a round of fixes

on iPad, popover menus survive a rotation instead of landing off the screen and tapping a character look opens a real fullscreen viewer you can pinch to zoom, prompt optimization takes the style you picked into account, captions stop flashing the wrong size and serving stale renders with short words legible again in grow mode, voice input no longer breaks with "No microphone available" whenever a video is on screen, the pointless enable audio prompt is gone from Spark and Spark Max where audio is always on anyway, and Create Variant holds on to your quality tier, references and duration after you have edited a project.

v1.71

Chat with Leah about your prompt

talk the shot through with her before you generate, and hit go once the words actually match what is in your head.

A first time tour of the prompt bar

a one time spotlight introduces @mentions, the prompt wand and Leah on your first visit, then gets out of the way.

Fullscreen images that are actually fullscreen

a generated image now fills the screen edge to edge with floating controls, not a cropped card in an overlay.

Plus two fixes

references attached to a Spark Max multi-shot job stop getting silently dropped, and music generation is behaving itself again.

v1.70

References stay attached in multi-shot

characters, scenes and frames added to a multi-shot video used to look like they had attached, then get silently dropped at submit and never reach the shot you put them on. They attach and route to the right shot now.

The rest of the multi-shot reference cleanup

New look does something again when you tap it on an uploaded still you have turned into a character, picking an end frame in multi-shot is refused out loud with a reason instead of vanishing without a word, and retrying a multi-shot job keeps your own server setting and your full multi-shot setup instead of quietly handing back something simpler.

The send button sends

the arrow up button on the docked chat composer used to close your keyboard and do nothing with what you had just typed. It now sends your message, everywhere the docked composer turns up: onboarding, chat, the AI director and story chat.

v1.69

Change a cast member's look

tapping a character already in your Motion Reference cast used to do nothing much, and it now reopens their saved looks, Original and every variation you have made, plus New look if none of them fit, so you can swap which one is driving the shot without pulling the character out and starting again.

Add your whole cast in one go

the Add character tab was strictly one at a time, and it now lets you multi-select up to however many slots you have left, three characters in total, in a single visit.

Long press to reorder your looks

long-pressing a variation in your Character Details strip now picks it up so you can drag it into the order you want, with your favourite look sitting first instead of buried at the end. The menu that used to open on a long press moved to a small ellipsis button on each cell.

Plus a round of fixes

Buy more credits no longer does nothing or freezes the screen when tapped from certain sheets, Motion Reference video uploads on a wobbly connection now resume from where they left off on a retry instead of restarting and looping forever, and larger creative variation images upload properly instead of failing at the last step.

v1.68

Max Speed, inside Spark Max

flip it on and your video comes back in seconds instead of the usual wait, so you can try a framing, change one word and watch it play again. Optional, so leave it off when you are committing to a take.

Standard single-shot video costs a lot less

same button, same result, far fewer credits off your balance, so every top up buys you more takes.

Grab a frame and keep editing

the timeline camera button used to fire you out of your edit into a whole new generation flow, and it now stashes the frame on your device, ready to reuse later as a reference or as a first or last frame, on phone and iPad.

Plus a round of fixes across generation and chat

variants of a long Motion Reference clip are no longer refused, Standard tier motion control clips stopped coming back silent when you asked to keep the original sound, chat shot previews carry the visual style you picked, the docked input, Leah's avatar and rounding on credits at risk are back in shape, and image jobs that failed to convert now fail fast and refund instead of sitting in preparing for 45 minutes.

v1.67

A steadier video editor

scrubbing or loading a timeline could lock the app up and swallow your taps while it waited on thumbnails over a shaky connection, and images you had already downloaded quietly pulled their full size down again every time you reopened a screen. Both are fixed.

Freeze frames that keep your edits

freezing a frame in the middle of a clip used to drop in the raw, untouched frame, and it now carries your crop, mask, flip, zoom, position and colour grade across.

Plus a round of fixes across generation

retrying a multi-shot video keeps your resolution and audio choices within what your tier supports so the retry is priced and charged correctly, a long Motion Reference job now shows as one job in your Activity feed and one notification badge instead of one entry per section, Keep on a Creative Variation retry waits for the real result instead of accepting a job that is still generating, and image jobs that used to sit in preparing forever with no error and no refund now finish, fail properly, or give your credits back.

v1.66

See every shot before you generate

making variants of a multi-shot clip used to be one blind confirm that replayed the original job and charged you for it, and it now opens the review screen with your source shots already filled in, so you can rewrite a prompt, swap an image or change a duration first. Remix sits next to Replace, and Generate with AI joined the Replace menu.

Attaching a reference stops rewriting your prompt

picking a reference used to shove a tag into the middle of whatever you were typing and never take it back out. Attaching and mentioning are two different things now, and a tag only appears when you tap a chip or type @ and choose from autocomplete, across First Frame, Last Frame, Review and your Motion Reference cast.

Longer Motion Reference jobs, exact lengths

long jobs get cut into sections, and each section used to round on its own, so a 45 second selection came back as 44 and every section ran slightly out of step with the footage driving it. Sections now tile your selection exactly, the handover frame between them does its job, and what you asked for is what you pay for and what you get.

Volume curves you can hear

a non-linear volume ramp on a clip or a music track used to play dead flat in the timeline while the export rendered the curve perfectly. The editor now plays what you are going to get.

Prompts tuned per engine

the video prompt enhancer only had shaping written for one engine and quietly passed your raw prompt through on the rest. Every engine gets its own now, multi-shot jobs skip the single-shot rewriter that kept inventing wardrobe and collapsing your sequence, and the audio toggle only shows up where the engine can act on it.

Plus a round of polish and bug fixes across the app, including Motion Reference characters and backgrounds staying put in drafts, regenerating from a cast clip keeping the whole cast, upload references no longer leaving the sheet unresponsive, transitions no longer rendering black frames when they run longer than the clip they span, splitting under a speed curve cutting where you expect, reordering clips no longer risking a save failure, clip durations no longer getting mangled by frame extraction, renders on your own server staying free and actually running on your server, jobs no longer stalling at the finish line when the video was already done, and notifications no longer sitting on the shelf for hours.

v1.65

Better spoken clips and multi-shot

the character speech path and High tier multi-shot now run on a stronger engine, so talking clips land cleaner and multi-shot sequences hold together better.

A new music engine

vocal and instrumental tracks now generate on a single, newer engine.

Spark images come back fast now.

Plus a round of polish and bug fixes across the app, including multi-shot drafts no longer reading as Motion reference on the drafts card and resuming right where you left off, and Create Variant no longer appearing on image clips in the iPad inspector.

v1.64

Images stop flashing

pictures you have already loaded come back instantly when you return to a screen, with no white flash and no reload. Scrolling back through your projects feels a lot calmer.

Your server is out of beta

running generations on your own server is now a full feature rather than a beta one, sitting alongside every other option.

Beat markers on clip audio

beat detection now reads the audio on your clips, not just your music track, so you can cut to the rhythm of what you actually filmed.

Plus a round of polish and bug fixes across the app, including onboarding keeping your first frame and your own server no longer freezing, cancelling cleanly and estimating properly.

v1.63

Pick your image quality per generation

a quality picker now sits on Generate Image, Remix, Character, First Frame, Last Frame, Assets and Background, and it applies to that one generation only, so choosing Ultra for a single hero shot no longer quietly bills every image after it. A header chip keeps the tier visible once the picker scrolls away.

One credit badge everywhere

around twenty screens had drifted onto their own homemade cost badge and most had forgotten how to say "this one is free". They all share the same badge now, with the credit star, your free generations remaining, and pricing worked out per image, so a batch only reads as free when your allowance covers every image in it.

Drag the timeline and actually see the frame

trim handles, caption and picture-in-picture blocks, music blocks and keyframes now park the preview on the frame you are dragging toward, then return to the playhead when you let go.

Plus a round of polish and bug fixes across the app, including World Summary and Shots showing a credit amount instead of an image count, Remix no longer locked out of Standard, voice design no longer advertising a cost when it is free, Creative Variation keeping your quality choice on a retry, sharper prompt-only images on Spark, and a shorter frame preview on the create video steps so the prompt field stops getting shoved below the fold.

v1.62

Spark is for everyone now

our own hosted quality tier is out of the lab and sitting in the quality picker for images, videos and multi-shot, for every creator. It is the fast, lower-cost option when you want to try ten ideas before committing to one.

Emoji stop moving your captions

a caption with an emoji used to sit in one place in the editor, another in fullscreen, and another again in the finished video. Position, sizing, word highlighting and tap targets now line up across all three.

Plus a round of polish and bug fixes across the app, including picture-in-picture keeping its own shape when you add a keyframe, a Storyboard Grid button that no longer sits greyed out after a retry or regenerate, and tidier story cards with the faded pencil lifted off draft covers.

v1.61

Generate in sequence lands on longer Motion Reference jobs

a new toggle builds the sections one after another instead of all at once, carrying your character's look forward from one section to the next so they stay a lot more like themselves.

Fresh variants show up straight away

a newly generated video variant now appears in the variants sheet the moment it is ready, with no reloading the whole project to go and find it.

A proper launch

Loovie now opens on a real splash screen with the logo while the app wakes up, instead of a blank screen that made you wonder if it had frozen.

Sharing a video on iOS no longer quietly does nothing, and saving a project after heavier timeline edits, like splitting a clip into pieces and deleting a few, no longer trips an error.

Plus a round of polish and bug fixes across the app, including video jobs that stop stalling silently or firing twice, and clearer, less technical wording on the sequence option.

v1.60

Motion Reference keeps its sound

longer motion-reference clips used to come back silent even when you asked to keep the original audio, and now that sound rides through to the finished result.

Plus a round of fixes across generation

longer motion-reference jobs no longer fail to start or stall, retried videos show the right status straight away, and fewer jobs get dropped along the way.

v1.59

Smoother and steadier all round

we squashed a sneaky glitch that could leave the navigation drawer stuck open or flash the project editor to a black screen. Both are fixed, so the app stays put and stays visible.

v1.58

Generate variants now faithfully matches the original

a fresh variant of a multi-shot or motion-reference clip reproduces the source exactly, keeping your quality tier, your character and prop references, and your full shot count, instead of quietly dropping them or collapsing a multi-shot into a single shot.

Video retries got a lot more reliable

retrying a failed clip keeps your original references, quality tier, and settings, videos that time out waiting in the queue can finally be retried, and jobs that cannot possibly succeed again clear themselves out instead of erroring after a charge.

Fullscreen scrubbing lands in the editor

going fullscreen on your video preview now gives you a seek bar to scrub through and play or pause without ever leaving fullscreen.

Clearer upload status badges in the editor, with export now held until any pending clip or picture-in-picture media has finished uploading, so nothing ships half-baked.

Plus a round of polish and bug fixes across the app, including share and save that no longer gets stuck and can now be cancelled, and a fix for the onboarding and story chat dead-ending in a reference-frame approval loop.

v1.57

Motion Reference levels up

it now casts several characters into one reference-driven video at once, lets you choose whether your reference drives the character's motion or the camera's movement, and adds a brand new top Ultra quality tier.

A new, cheaper Basic quality tier slots in below the rest for both multi-shot video and Animate, so lighter jobs cost you less, and it quietly powers every brand new creator's very first video too.

Storyboard Grid on Ultra now honours the reference images and characters from your reference pool when it builds the grid, and you can finally remove a generated grid you do not want.

Scrubbing the timeline through a clip transition is noticeably smoother now, with the old jank and stutter ironed out.

Apply an AI VFX enhancement to a clip and its original audio track now rides straight through instead of getting stripped out.

Plus a round of polish and bug fixes across the app.

v1.56

Founding Members get a free daily video

while spots last, a limited-time invite now pops up on Home, and tapping Claim your spot actually locks in your seat and lights up your free daily clip right away!

Music editing gets a beat

the editor now detects the beat of your music track, shows beat markers you can toggle on the timeline, and snaps clips and keyframes on-beat, plus split-at-playhead and clone for audio and music tracks.

Plus a round of polish and bug fixes across the app.

v1.55

Typing feels right again

the docked prompt composer no longer jumps your cursor mid-sentence, the keyboard opens and closes cleanly, and quick edits like optimize and @-mentions no longer knock the caret out of place.

Dictate your prompt without leaving the box

tap the mic and the composer stays open with the keyboard up, a live waveform and timer show your take, and your words stream straight in until you tap Stop.

Smoother sign-in with Apple

clearer feedback when authentication keeps failing, plus a nudge toward another way in so you are never stuck retrying the same button.

Plus a round of polish and bug fixes across the app.

v1.54

Loovie gets a fresh look

a new app icon and logo across the app and web, plus a fully redesigned prompt input bar that is cleaner and easier to think in while you describe the video you want.

A clearer getting-ready screen

while Loovie preps your video before it even hits the queue, you now see an accurate "Setting up your video..." message, a cancel button that actually cancels and refunds, and a timer that only starts counting once generation really does.

Sharper project thumbnails and a smoother voice recorder

your poster now comes from the real trimmed and edited first frame of your first clip, recording auto-stops at the end of your project, and old takes stop cluttering the record panel.

Plus a round of polish and bug fixes, including an export fix so a second picture-in-picture overlay following a first no longer freezes on one frame.

v1.53

Static Background lands in the editor

on any clip, drop in a solid colour or generate a background with AI and remix it without leaving your timeline, with image generation now unified across the editor in one pass.

Smarter media import

select multiple videos at once, watch clips auto-fill the frame with no forced cropping, see camera-roll media show up instantly because it loads local-first, and keep working while uploads finish quietly in the background.

Caption editing levels up

drop manual line breaks wherever you want the text to wrap, and pinch to resize a caption right on the canvas.

Plus a round of polish and bug fixes across the app.

v1.52

We shipped Leah, our new onboarding co-pilot. New signups now start in a chat with her that walks them all the way to their first finished video, no detours, no guesswork. Invite a friend and watch them meet her.

We also built a new chat agent creation method for projects, in beta. Open Create A New Project, pick the chat agent, describe what you want in plain language, and let it build the project with you turn by turn.

Plus a round of polish and bug fixes across the app.

v1.51

AI VFX references now have an Upload option alongside Remix and Generate, so you can drop in your own image straight from your camera roll or files when setting up a VFX reference.

Plus a round of polish and bug fixes across the app.

v1.50

Filters land in the editor

tap the new Filters button on any clip or your whole project to dial in a cinematic look, with 40 built-in presets, manual exposure, highlights, shadows, whites, blacks, and temperature, plus per-clip overrides on top of a project grade. Editor preview is pixel-matched to the export, so what you see is what renders.

Smarter last-frame magic wand

the prompt enhancer now reads your first frame, your first-frame prompt, and your motion prompt, so the ending it writes actually fits how your clip starts and what's happening in it.

Plus a healthy round of polish and bug fixes across the app.

v1.49

Improvements and bug fixes.

v1.48

Take control of how your video renders with the new Storyboard Grid (Ultra tier only): Loovie lays your whole multi-shot sequence out as a single 2K panel grid you can preview in Review before paying for the full render, then drives the video straight from those panels so what you see in the grid is what lands in the final cut.

Multi-shot now shows up in Continue From Frame and Fill The Gap too, with the AI shot planner, the shot duration slider, and the Break into Shots magic wand all available exactly like First Frame, so you can plan a whole sequence from wherever you start.

Smoother all round, with a fat batch of bug fixes.

v1.47

Reverse playback is here

flip any video clip or video picture-in-picture overlay to play backwards inside the editor and it carries straight through to your final export, with the main timeline and PiP overlays both fully along for the ride.

v1.46

Prompt References for video are here

tap + Reference to open a tabbed picker for Characters, Assets, Backgrounds, or your own upload, and the chip drops into your prompt as a renameable @tag with a real thumbnail. Up to 4 per generation, on High and Ultra. Character references honour the exact variation you picked so your cast stays on-model end to end.

Caption text effects now actually export

typewriter, reveal, and animated gradient render in both the editor preview and your final video, and they stack with motion presets like slide, spin, bounce, and float. Typewriter reveals by whole glyph so emoji never split mid-reveal.

Exports finish quicker now

clips process in parallel with faster intermediates, and emoji finally render in full color in your exported video.

v1.45

Character Sheets are here

one tap turns any character into a full-body turnaround plus expression row and ornament call-outs, used as the reference for first-frame and video so your characters stay on-model across shots. Costs 2 credits, tap to view full-screen.

Bring Your Own GPU got sturdier

connection checks time out instead of spinning forever, closing the settings sheet no longer wedges the drawer, false certificate warnings on unreachable servers are gone, and failed BYO jobs now surface a proper alert.

Voice denoise works reliably now, even if it gave up on you the first time.

v1.44

Notification Center

tap the new bell in the header to see every job still cooking and jump back to it, plus rotating tips for stuff in the app you might not have found yet.

Scrubbing now shows the real Swap, Animate, and AI VFX result while you drag, not the raw input clip. What you see is what you ship.

v1.43

Bring Your Own GPU is here in beta, run your own models and LoRAs on your own hardware, free, no credits, no limits. Enable it in Preferences, Beta Features.

Variants are here for single-shot clips

thumbs-down a generated video and tap Generate 3 Variants for three fresh takes in one go, the first one of the three is on us.

New Beta Features screen under Preferences is the home for opt-in experiments going forward.

v1.42

Animated masks on clips and PiP overlays. Drop keyframes, feather the edges, and your shape chases the action across the whole clip.

Another editor speedup. Scrubbing feels noticeably faster and the playhead glides where your finger goes.

PiP playback no longer stutters, and overlays stop flicking to the first frame when you scrub.

Keyframes land exactly where you let go, and tapping a diamond updates the menu instantly.

Export progress that actually moves, a friendlier heads-up if you hit the limit, and a cleaner nudge when one is already running.

Background image uploads either go through cleanly or tell you they did not, and failed video generations finally explain themselves.

v1.41

Clip Masks

Apply a shape mask to any clip, including picture-in-picture overlays. Drag to position, scale to taste, and slide the feather to soften the edge, with a GPU-smooth live preview that matches your export.

Instant Tap-to-Seek and Smoother Scrub

Capped playhead re-renders and memoized Swap and Animate panels, so timeline taps land on the frame instantly and scrubbing stays smooth even with a flow panel open.

iPad Starter Ideas

Home screen starter ideas now deep-link straight into the right creation method on iPad instead of dropping you on a generic screen.

v1.40

Projects Open Way Faster

Long projects now open in seconds instead of dragging on for ages. The biggest editor open-time win in a while.

iPad Multi-Shot Create Video

The Create Video panel on iPad now plans, optimises, and runs multi-shot from a prompt or last frame, matching the phone flow.

Volume Keyframes with Easing Curves

Pick a curve in the curve sheet and your preview, your scrub, and your final export all ride the same ramp.

Preview Follows Your Trim Handle

Drag a caption, picture-in-picture, or music handle and the preview scrubs to match so you can see exactly where you are landing.

Better Export Previews

Export detail now shows a defined video placeholder with a spinner before the first frame paints, instead of a blank white card.

v1.39

Referral and Invite Reliability

Code validation and error handling are more consistent, including cleaner handling for already-used codes and terminal flow cleanup.

iPad Music Tool Parity

The music panel on iPad now has clearer tabbed sections for your library, stock music, and sound effects.

iPad Modal Stability

Fixed a crash path related to form modals and bottom-sheet internals on iPad.

v1.38

Faster Editor on Long Projects

Scrubbing and scrolling on chunky timelines feel noticeably smoother. The playhead glides, the preview keeps up, and heavy edits stop dragging your phone down.

AI VFX References That Match Your Shot

When you remix or generate a reference image for AI VFX, it now lines up with the scene you're working on, so your generations land closer on the first try.

Steadier Clip Transform

Anchor and snap behave, picture-in-picture gestures feel right, and tapping a PiP overlay no longer wipes your transform. Wider position bounds let you park clips a little off the edge when a framing needs to breathe.

Instant Waveforms on Reused Audio

When you reuse the same audio track, the waveform shows up immediately instead of leaving you with an empty lane.

Cleaner Add-Clip Flow

Adding a clip and changing your mind no longer leaves junk in your project. Bail out and your timeline stays exactly how it was.

Invites That Tell You Why

If a referral link doesn't go through, you'll see the real reason now (already redeemed, expired, wrong account) instead of a generic error.

Uploads That Finish

Videos that used to silently get stuck in processing forever now make it through to your library.

Stock Sound Effects

A new Sound Effects mode in the Music tool lets you browse stock SFX and drop a whoosh, thud, or record-scratch straight onto your timeline. Layers alongside your music, not instead of it.

v1.37

Volume Keyframes

Drop diamond keyframes on any clip and ride volume up and down right on the timeline. Drag the slider on a keyframe and it writes in place, scrub a ramp and the slider follows the interpolated value live.

Audio Waveforms

Each video clip on the timeline now shows an audio waveform sub-lane so you can see the shape of your sound while you cut.

Direct Canvas Transform

Pinch, drag, and rotate your clip directly on the preview. New flip horizontal and flip vertical buttons in the clip toolbar, smarter selection, and trim handles that stay visible in transform mode.

Faster Image Generation

Image generation now runs end-to-end async with live progress streaming back to your screen. Keep editing while it cooks.

Export Reliability

Rotated clips now export with rotation intact when transform animation is applied, and export errors come through as readable sentences instead of developer gibberish.

Steadier Preview Scrub

Fast scrubbing no longer jumps the playhead backwards on you.

AI VFX Reliability

Oversized inputs now scale down automatically so generations stop failing on edge-case footage.

Chat Polish

Cleaner story chat message rows and a tighter character picker.

v1.36

Non-Destructive Enhancements

Animate, Swap, and AI VFX now layer onto your clip as bands you can inspect, tweak, and remove. Your original clip stays untouched.

Per-Generation Quality

Pick the quality and resolution for each Animate, Swap, or AI VFX run on the spot, without changing your global default.

Live Progress and Real Cancel

Timeline shows a live percentage while enhancements process, and cancelling actually clears the badge instead of leaving orphan overlays behind.

Smoother Editing

Range handles snap to the playhead while a flow panel is open, the quality picker stays inside the panel, and long AI VFX prompts no longer push the status off screen.

Faster, More Reliable Uploads

Library creation, style picks, and motion references now stream straight to storage with iOS retry fallbacks for flaky uploads.

Instant Project Updates

New uploads, renames, and deletes reflect on Home and Projects immediately instead of waiting for a refetch.

Bug Fixes

Export Failed flash when resuming from background, picture-in-picture audio-only export concat, black-intro drift on exports, iOS 26 voice input crash, and a smoother mic waveform.

v1.35

Getting for a kick-ass update!

v1.32

Smoother Editor Playback

Transient playback hiccups now auto-recover instead of breaking your preview, with quieter warnings behind the scenes.

Clearer Copyright Errors

When a generation is blocked for copyright reasons, you actually see why instead of a generic failure.

Credit Cost Fix

Image generation cost now matches the quality tier you picked across every screen, plus the credit purchase modal lets you close it if the receipt takes a moment to land.

v1.31

Recently Generated

Reuse any image you have already created from any picker in the app. One tab, all your past generations.

iPad Rotation

iPad now rotates freely on every screen, not just the timeline.

Bug Fixes

Match Pose overlay recovery, character tracking across all generation paths, and stability improvements.

v1.30

Improvements and bug fixes.

v1.29

Improvements and bug fixes.

v1.28

Picture in Picture

Layer a second video on your timeline, move it, resize it, and stack it with other overlays.

Background Uploads

Long uploads can continue in the background with a floating progress banner so you are not stuck on one screen.

Smoother Preview

Steadier scrubbing and transitions while you work with overlays.

v1.27

Stability Fixes

Reliability and polish across the app so everyday use feels steadier.

v1.26

Broader iPhone Support
